එක්දහස් නවසිය හතලිස් හයේ මැයි මස හයවන දින විදුහල්පතිනිය ඇතුලු ගුරු මණ්ඩලයේ පස් දෙනෙකු සහ ශිෂ්‍යාවන් විසිදෙනකු සමන්විත වූ මෙම පාසල එවකට අධ්‍යාපන අධ්‍යක්ෂව සිටි ඉයන් සැන්ඩිමන් මහතාට භාරදීමෙන් පසු රජයේ පාසලක් බවට පත්වී ඇත. මෙතුමියගේ පාලන කාලය තුළ පාසල ක්‍රමයෙන් සංවර්ධනය වී ඇති අතර, එවකට සිටි ශිෂ්‍ය සංඛ්‍යාව සඳහා පාසලේ ඉඩ - කඩ ප්‍රමාණවත් නොවන තත්ත්වයක් උදා වි ඇත.පී. ද එස් කුලරත්න විදුහල්පතිනියගේ සේවා කාලය තුළ එක් දහස් නවසිය පනස් තුනේ ජූලි මස දෙවන දින වර්තමානයේ පාසල පිහිටි ස්ථානයට ගෙනවිත් ඇත. පසු කාලිනව මෙම දිනය පාසලේ ආදි කතෘන් සැමරීමේ දිනය වශයෙන් නම් කර සමන්එළිය විද්‍යාලය පවත්වා, වර්තමානයේදි ද වාර්ෂිකව පාසලේ ආදී කතෘන් සමරනු ලැබේ.
1950 සිට 1980 දක්වා විදුහල්තුපතිවරුන්න් තුන්දෙනකු යටතේ පාසල පරිපාලනය වී ඇති අතර, එම කාලය තුළ ශිෂ්‍ය සංඛ්‍යාව 20 සිට සීය 100 දක්වා වර්ධනය වී ඇත. එපමණක්ද නොව පාසලේ පාසල් ගීතය ද, පාසල් කොඩිය ද 1980 වර්ෂයේදී නිර්මාණය වී ඇත.
1981 සිට 2010 දක්වා කාලය තුළ විදුහල්පතිවරුන් හතර දෙනෙක් යටතේ පාසල් පරිපාලනය වී ඇති අතර, එම කාලය තුළ උසස් පෙළ අංශයද ආරම්භ වී ඇත. එහිදී කලා සහ වාණිජ යන අංශ දෙකෙන් උසස් පෙළ හැදෑරීමට අවස්ථාව සිසුන්ට හිමිවිය.
2010 සිට 2022 කාලය තුළ විදුහල්පතිවරුන් තිදෙනකු යටතේ පාසල පරිපාලන කටයුතු සිදු වූ අතර, මේ කාලය තුළ ශිෂ්‍ය සංඛ්‍යාව 360 ක් දක්වා වර්ධනය වී ඇත. එමෙන්ම පාසල තුළ ක්‍රීඩා කටයුතු අතින් ගත් කල සමස්ත ලංකා මට්ටමේ ජයග්‍රහණයක් මුල් වසර දහය තුළ ලබා ඇති අතර, වෙනත් කිසිදු ජයග්‍රහණයයක් පාසල තුළ වාර්තා වී නොමැත. ඒ වගේම එමෙන්ම සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ ප්‍රතිඵල තුළද වසර දහය ඇතුළත සංවර්ධනයක් හෝ කඩාවැටීමක් පෙන්නුම් නොකරයි.
The idea of establishing a school for the children of this area was born during the thirty-fourth session of the Maskeliya Youth Forest Society held on the thirty-first day of May 1941. Accordingly, in the year 1942, Samaneliya Vidyalaya was started near the temple.
On the sixth day of May 1946, this school, which consisted of five teachers and twenty female students, including the principal, has become a public school after being handed over to Mr. Ian Sandiman, who was the director of education at that time. During the tenure of this lady, the school has gradually developed, and there has been a situation where the space in the school is not enough for the number of students at that time.P. The school has been brought to its current location on the second day of July 1953 during the tenure of Principal S. Kularathne. Later, this day was named as the day of celebration of the school's former authors and Samaneliya Vidyalaya was held, and even now, the school's former authors are celebrated annually.
The school was administered by three principals from 1950 to 1980, during which the number of students grew from 20 to 100. Moreover, the school song and the school flag were created in the year 1980.
From 1981 to 2010, the school has been administered under four principals, during which time the A-level division has also started. There, students had the opportunity to study advanced level in both arts and commerce.
Between 2010 and 2022, the school was administered under three principals, and during this period, the number of students has grown to 360. Also, in terms of sports activities in the school, an all-Ceylon level victory has been achieved in the first ten years, and no other victory has been recorded in the school. Also, the average results do not show any development or collapse within ten years.
